Errr no -  - Respectfully sir, have you actually played one?

The neck is skinnier than the Fly in depth - same deep access - you get more tone as the body is slightly thicker in the center - and therefore ability to drop in other pickups.
Its nothing like the Nitefly ? !!!

Simon - the weight difference is very very slight. The neck is pretty much like the Fly (i.e my Mojo - which has a shallower neck than my Deluxe)

I've read the specs and it's crazily overpriced for what it is. For that money, I'd get another Fly for sure. And also visually, umpf.... nothing styilish at all. It seems the n-esime weird-shaped guitar.

Simon - email the guys at Parker - they can give you estimated weight. I'm fairly sure from the axe I played at the factory that its still plenty light enough. The Parker website spec says 5lbs - same as the Fly - but I would think yes its a little heavier - but not by much. Remember also that its made of Alder - which is a lighter wood than say Mahogany - for the same volume of wood

I don't remember thinking to myself that the Dragon was any heavier than any of the other Flys we played.  I do remember thinking that the Artist (spruce) that I played was ridiculously light (honestly - almost too light for my taste).

For me as long as a guitar is under 7.5 lbs I consider it light - under 6.5 lbs very light (in the grand scheme of all electric guitars manufactured).  My Mojo Silverburst is 5.9 lbs and my Mojo SC is 6.5 lbs.

Pregno - you really have to play a Dragon in person to appreciate just how similar it is to the Fly design we all love.  We've pointed out in other threads that the Dragon fits most of the same jigs used in the production of the original Fly and also fits in the same case as the original Fly.  Your viewpoint is EXACTLY why we tried to impress upon the Parker folks how important it is for them to get some better pictures of these instruments on their web site.  You just can't appreciate the body sculpting that their designs have from the 2D pics they have posted.  They need to use a 360 degree rotating view system (like some other sites have).

I am surprised to hear they fit in the same case. I assumed the body of the Dragon Fly was slightly bigger. I would still like more pics of the side by side.

A hardtail DF with the old headstock would be the most perfect guitar in history.
