Looks kinda nice. Why are those holes in the back plate? They seem to be under the middle pickup. And why are there no holes under the bridge assembly where they're needed? Because it's a prototype?

It looks like there are two holes for the bridge assembly. [:)]

There are actually three holes for the bridge. Two are for adjustment of bridge height and one is for setting a pullback stop point. This guitar uses the nitefly bridge, so the two slots in the backplate are for adjusting the springs without having to take off the backplate.

Oh, yeah - I forgot that this does not use the same kind of parts as my old Fly, so the back looks all weird to me.

BTW, I thought I saw some other Parker prototype(s) floating around recently too... am I wrong? Seems like Parker insiders would be snapping up any prototypes to keep for a while rather than letting them out. Maybe they just all have too many guitars already. ;)

Oh how I pleaded the case for having two separate back panels instead of that one humongous gob of plastic.  That's still the one thing I don't like about the Fly designs.  I would much prefer to have separate plates for the control cavity and the trem cavity.  Maybe someday.

Oooh, beautiful! Oil finished, that's the way to treat a natural wood guitar! Not drowned in gloss like so many others.

Greetings...

She's beautiful!  Anyone knows if the new (and much more aesthetic) bolt-on headstock design will be used for the set-neck Dragonfly?

That is gorgeous.  I can't afford that one at the moment (need to save some more pennies), but I get the feeling that my next Parker may be a DragonFly bolt on.[8D]

Yes, this headstock will be the Dragonfly headstock, no matter if it is Bolt or Set neck.

Any chance of seeing this natural finish on the production models? It's really gorgeous!

Yeah, I like it, it looks really good.  I still like the set neck better, but gee - for the price - wow!  That being said, I must hasten to add that I LOVE the oil finish!  Very nice.
