Nitefly Parker bridge metal balls fell off
« on: February 16, 2010, 05:05:58 PM »
Hello Parker players. This is my first post and I write to ask the experts to lend me some good advice. I have a mid ninties Nitefly SA only i have the parker bridge, not the fishman bridge. The strings fall in place between two tiny metal balls mounted on the bridge. However, recently when replacing the strings about 6 of the little metal balls fell off and I have lost 4 of them. I was wondering if I could order the replacments someway. I have looked every where and I have had no luck in finding the correct size metal balls. Thanks guys so much in advance for any help you can lend to me. I really want to play my parker again :(

You're pretty much SOL unfortunately. Those saddles are not made any more and are difficult to come by on their own. You could order new saddles from Parker, however, you will want to order a complete set of six to get the sound correct. You could also order a complete set of RMC saddles for the NF too, which is usually around $300. Don't know the saddle cost from Parker, but if you call them with your problem, they can let you know what a set of six saddles will cost.

Call Parker. The set is around $100.00. You will need some soldering skills.

No probs that just happened to me..Ryan at the shop was great! He told me I could get a new set for around 100.00.I ordered them and all you need to do is replace the old ones. The new ones don't have the stupid ball bearings anymore thank God.You need a magnet and X Ray specs to find them...Fishman was no help at all.If you wanna have a waste of time buy a G &L.My 91 Legacy neck is warped and they don't care at all. They are the worse..Parker was wonderful to deal with and I'm in ****ing Canada.
