Hi, thank you.
For me, the P-36 original sound has very good high and low freqs, but the mids freqs were not very loud.
I decided to replace the original neck pickup by a Fender Wide Range humbucker. This added more mid range frequencies gain when the pickup selector is in mid position. It works great with and without the piezo.
This mod also enhanced the distorted sound a lot.
The Fender Wide range humbucker sound is something in between a single coil and a Gibson PAF, so the guitar still maintains its "Tele" characteristic.
I would recommend this to anyone wanting to make the P-36 even more versatile.
