Well everyone knew he was ahead of his time. He envisioned and made sketches of helicopters, submarines, and...The Parker Fly [8D]

I want this on a T-Shirt.  White on black.  I'll even help get them made.  IM me and we'll talk.

Funny you should mention that! Lookie here:

http://www.headlineshirts.net/da-vinci-rock-man.html[url]or here:[url]http://www.kaboodle.com/reviews/da-vinci-rock-man-t-shirt

with a variation here:

Obviously I can't take any credit for the idea or the graphic, only for 'Parkerizing' the image (for personal non-commercial use only, of course). Still, someone who really wants his own Fly version on a shirt could probably use the graphic in that way without too much risk.

I've received a couple of PMs from forum members about using the above graphic to make T-shirts, so I thought it best to respond here. The thing is that the original image was created by someone else who already happens to be using it on T-shirts. I modified a low-res version of that graphic (knowing that it's not really suitable for full-size reproduction) to depict a Parker guitar, just for the fun of it. For the present usage I believe I have not infringed on the creator's copyright and have no wish to do so. But the legality of enhancing that graphic in order to produce a T-shirt or any other item is something that I do not want to test. I decided to ask the company what uses, if any, they would permit with this image and will let you know what they say. In the meantime, I have substituted a much smaller version of the graphic, just to be safe. ;)

Okay, I've taken a different direction. I realized that nobody except Leonardo can complain if I go back to his original version of the Vitruvian Man and tweak it any way I want, so that's what I've done instead. It's a public domain image, so there are no copyright issues. My most recent version is now posted above. Yes, I can do different variations of this, and yes, I will be willing to share the finished products with those who are interested. I just want to explore the possibilites a little first.
