Welcome to the club. This is the 'killer feature' of the guitar where form followed function. And KP knew this was an "issue". Numerous players gave up on their Fly because of the discomfort caused by that sharp corner on the upper horn. Yes, it was one of the design issues behind the DragonFly. Interestingly, the Nitefly upper horn has a bevel to it that prevents this from happening. Why that was never done to the Fly is a mystery. Solutions? I've tried padding, some people have taken a sander to their guitar and rounded off the corner (not recommended). I finally just lowered my guitar about 1" and changed my playing position - which makes accessing the upper frets less than ideal. When I'm sitting I put a small throw pillow between my body and the guitar. I still get jabbed from time to time but it's not in the breast bone or rib cage anymore. Question, just to test my theory about this - are you under 6' tall and medium to slender build?
