p8en distortion
« on: June 09, 2010, 11:59:11 AM »
hi, i have a beautiful p8en that sounded perfectly fine until about two weeks ago.  i got a fuzzy, rattling sound on all the strings (more pronounced on others)

i noticed that there was some dust or dirt rattling around in the soundhole and picked some of it out without taking off the strings.  i still get a distorted sound but it's definitely not as bad as before.  i think that there still may be some dirt in there.

does stuff inside the soundhole cause the strings to sound this fuzzy?  if so, how can i clean it out better? or could it be bigger problems? maybe with the electrical wiring.  the guitar is in great condition.
