I have tentatively finished my 6SJ7 & KT88 single-ended amp and it sounds very nice and chimey with the parker. Now, my computer has been on the fritz and this sample made during a TEST to see if the iPhone could take an input cord. I ended up running from the headphone out of my mixer and had to gently, partially insert in the 1/8" cord to get the iPhone to record something other than with the built-in mic. There is still some digital clipping halfway through, but it's OK for a general example of how the amp sounds. Played through
Parker Fly Deluxe
Octal88 amp
closed-back 2x10 with Celestion Tube 10s
SM57
Mixer
Headphone out
Loosely connected iPhone input to voice recorder
Recorded at full amp volume so there is just a bit of grit, however the amp is spanky clean through 90% volume with single coils, 80% volume with humbuckers. Takes pedals VERY well, but none were used in the test.
