Volume pot needs fix
« on: December 04, 2005, 08:07:29 AM »
My volume pot scratches only when a signal is present. If I mute the strings and turn the pot it does NOT scratch.
I've cleaned the pot more than once, but the signal issue makes me wonder.

It sounds like the volume pot may be defective. It scratches when signal is going thru it because it's moving some current from the pickups going thru the pot - but with no signal, no current.

Okay, so how do you get a replacement pot?  No store on the Parker site!

I wish I could answer that one! Well, is it the piezo volume or the mag pickup volume control? If it's the mag pickup volume, it's easily replaced. If it has to do with the piezo pickup volume control, it could be any number of things and Parker Guitars or an authorized Parker repairman should look at it.

It's the Master Volume. It looks like it's a dual pot.

Yeah, I'd say call up Parker support. [8D]

Nope, I'm living with it. Been building an amp and that's enough for now.
