Took The Parker Plunge
« on: November 18, 2011, 08:57:29 PM »
Ever since The King Crimson show in Nashville a few years back I have admired the Parker guitar. Adrian Belew can really pull the sound out of an axe. Well, I found one on ebay a week ago and I really love it. I believe it's a 97 Nitefly with 3 single coil pups. I just started playing a few months ago and just love the feel and sound of this guitar. Got it for $500.00 bucks and at that price I think it's a steal!
Here's some pictures if anyone would be so kind as to share any info they may have about this guitar. Thanks … Tom
PS: I have the wammy bar!!!

That guitar has got to be the best buy out there! What a score! The quality of an american built guitar along with the superior design, materials, electronics and playability. I salute you!

Nice looking guitar. I'd love to hear it / play it. Not too many around.

Thanks fellas... I have to add something here. When the guitar was shipped to me it arrived in tune. I have been bang'in on this thing for five days and I haven't had to tweak a single machine head 1 millimeter. UNREAL!!!! I love this guitar!!!

Hey John, you near Twentynine Palms? Spent some time out there in the early 80's, it's a great part of the country.

Great guitar even better price can't beat that. I picked up a 97 SSH nite fly this summer and love it. Trans blue over maple top. be aware I have the same bridge with balls in the saddles. First string change I lost three of my balls [:p] They are supposed to be set in permanently but they can come lose with age. I was able to order some new ones from Mcmaster carr and now have 97 left in a bag. No one can say I don't have balls.

You are right on that one! That was a steal! Just like my 98 deluxe in majik blue 100% mint condition I paid I believe 1800.00. And it's been confirmed that Sharon the painter who worked at Parker Guitars said the best guitars were made in the 98 when they had the best crew!
