Thanks! 7 lbs even. The carving took the body weight from 6 lbs 11 oz to 4 lbs. If I used a less dense wood like Poplar I bet the weight would be in the 5 lbs range.

Killer stuff, mojotron!  Nice playing, and on a great sounding (and looking) guitar.  As a pastor, I'd love it if you were one of the guitar players at our church! [:D] [8D]

I really like the width of the lower bout. Very reminiscent of classical acoustic shape. It is just a testament to some real craftsmanship and artistry. You are indeed a multi-talented fellow.

+1M A+ five stars double thumbs up.

Beautiful work.  That guitar just looks so comfortable.  "Here I am let's make music."  I can easily see the Parker influence in the sculpting.  There's really only so much you can do with a slab of wood, some wires and electronics.  Nice tone and playing, too.  Youve got the total package, bro.

+1M A+ five stars double thumbs up.

I play at church too mojo. A while ago now I stopped chasing my tail constantly building amps & pedals and decided to put all that energy into becoming a better musician! Now I just build stuff to help fellow Parker players.... [;)]

Thanks! Making guitars is a lot of fun - this build I used a lot of hand tools for smoothing.... I always thought those pictures of Ken Parker with his micro planes was just for the picture - but I found out that those kinds of tools take 1/2 the time to get the smoothing work done - rather than sanding....

Thanks!! What really surprised me was how far I could go with the carving and not have to go with a more complex neck/body joint. The way the guitars sits the joint is just kind of off to the left - kind of plays like a NiteFly and feels more like a Fly to hold (without the bridge and SS frets of course...).

Interesting shape and beautiful grain structure, good thing you left it all natural, very nice!

Wow - that is interesting - one would need to build a case with it :)
