Yeah. The purple is an interesting hue which I think comes from both the base coat and the dark color applied to "darken" the chrome.  I did not want a mirror look.  I though it would be more "smoky" but this looks beautiful so I'm not complaining.

(Yes the voodoo S3 is definitely a stunning instrument.  Believe it or not, I have yet to find the ideal pickups for it.  Or it may just be that I need to get mine custom-made so they sound like what I want them to sound.  Work in progress.)

Pat, that's just killer.  Wow.  I think the last picture especially makes it look like the guitar is made out of glass and was filled with a liquid that half-way between chrome and brushed stainless steel.  If you decide to sell it, I have no doubt that you'll be able to recover your investment.  This has gotta be some metal guitarist's fevered wet dream.  ;)  Wow... just wow.

Looks great in daylight. Would love to see shots of that paint reacting to stage lights.

Greetings...

I'll try to get on stage shots.  The guitar looks amazing on stage, especially with moving lights hitting it.

Casey - exactly!  That's why I'm also  on the fence.  Some hair dude would get so much out of this axe it seems a shame to have me play it.  Hell - I'm bald!  :)

Ugh.
Tired. So very tired. Tax time is rough on the freelancers these days.

So I bookmarked this thread months ago and just got back to it.

darn! That is one beautiful paint job.

I'd like to know, from anyone that has ever painted their Parker.
How tough is it?
I'm thinking About painting my black fly white. I'm assuming the toughest part is: you lose your serial # and you have to paint in the fret markers.

Any input before I try it?
The only other option I can think of is sell it and buy a white one, but that's not as easy as it should be.

I believe the going rate - by those who know how to do it right - is about $600. Probably means it's not exactly easy to do it right.

Sharon and Lisa at Shazrock charge, if I recall correctly, about $700 for a complete job. They also replace the logo, SN and fret markers.  The work I've seen from them is beautiful.  They don't do Chrome or I would've gone to them in the first place.

Hm.
That would probably still be cheaper then selling and buying.
Do you know if they would need just the husk, or if they pull all the wires out and put them back in?
I'm assuming they would just want the wood.

I'm thinking of going from a dusty black to the pearl white you see on cars all the time now.

I've been half tempted to sell mine for about $1000 and pick up that clean white one on eBay right now, but that's just money I don't have and I'm trying to work up to a SSH guitar.

Always glad I can come here for answers. It's a lonely Parker world without you.

From what I've seen they will remove and reinstall electronics as part of the deal. They are good at custom wiring as well.

They take care of the whole guitar.  They don't want it stripped or anything.  I remember asking Sharon if it would be cheaper to send her an unfinished guitar and she actually said it would cost more!

I have a Pearl White.  Love it!  Stays much cleaner than a black one.
