Vai said "ah you have one of these..." so he was obviously aware of them.  He didn't play it, (maybe due to a 'not seen playing anything other than Ibanez contract clause?) but he looked it all over.  Satch didn't really say anything about it, just treated it as though it was any other guitar.  Some people just can't spot genius, even when it's in their hands...lol

sorry guys, I failed to convert them both   :-\

Just need to hunt down Petrucci and Gilbert......   8)

Satch probably got to play a bunch on Martone's fly.  Pretty awesome that he drew a picture...

Vai might have been confused by the lack of a handle?    ::)

What are you doing to keep the ink intact?

I have clumsily and amateurishly sprayed the back with a few coats of car lacquer.  i got the vai one done in 2009 and it has lasted pretty well

Bonus points for getting the big 3.
And more points for meeting them face to face too!

Cool stuff!

Nice!

I so do love electric guitars.

And all the "culture" that goes with 'em.

If JP wasn't so happy (can't blame him) with his signature models and all the support he gets from EBMM he'd be a perfect candidate to convert to Parker. The new Majesty shape isn't too far away from a DF shape, he is using piezo pickups, he's a DiMarzio fan, he likes creative tech... maybe one day we'll get him. ;D

They were great in Vienna on the European leg of the tour. Which show did you see? Can't wait for the Blu-Ray of Boston with the Berklee Strings/Choir.

Greetings...
Nef

haha, i don't rate EVh at all, yeah he has his deserved place in history with Eruption but I've always hated his soloing.  Especially these days where he plays any old crap and the audience still cheer for him.

Running out of space, but I'd love Paul Gilbert, Marty Friedman and Nuno Bettencourt on there, then I can rest easy.  That would be all my guitar heroes.

Next on the list is Marty Friedman in May, I was a huge MF fan in the 90's (an still am).  Trying to learn the "Symphony Of Destruction" solo changed the course of my guitar playing!  One day I'll attempt "Tornado Of Souls"......
Pornograffitti had a huge impact on me too, loved that album and seeing them Live in June performing it in London :)  (but doubt I'll be able to get anything signed)

Nefarious, I saw DT in London at Wembley Arena.  great gig, the youtube interlude in the middle was hilarious!   I think John was in Bear mode most of the night ;)
