Mysterious parker guitars
« on: October 22, 2015, 06:09:56 AM »
Hi to everyone.
I'm Italian guy and I found on this famous Italian web shop this model of Parker Guitar:

Parker PDF40F: http://www.strumentimusicali.net/product_info.php/products_id/8831/PARKER-PDF40F-Black-+-Borsa-OMAGGIO!.html

http://www.strumentimusicali.net/product_info.php/products_id/8832/parker-pdf40f-trans-black-+-borsa-omaggio!.html

I didn't find any documentation about this guitar. Someone can help me?

Thanks

There is no PDF40 in any past catalogue of the Parker guitar (even the catalogues that aren't present in the web page of the official site). Parker Guitar did the PDF30, the PDF35 but don't the PDF40. I supposed that could be one of this two models, but the images don't match. There is no official documentation or in English, only a few of Italians sites that have the same description and same image of the instrument and some Taiwanese shop...

Here's a Polish site with detailed photos:

Translated to English:

People who use the Parker logo on non-Parker instruments and sell them as Parkers are at risk for a lawsuit.

Hey, it would be nice for Parker to win a lawsuit, wouldn't it?

We're not familiar with the PDF number system Parker might be using for "foreign" markets.  Doesn't look very fake.  Hard to tell.  But it looks legit.  Like the better finish of of 30.  Maybe we'll find out more from Parker people.

Why? My P-38 had the same Parker logo on the pickups.

My p38 also had the same logo on the pickups. They used "custom wound" parker pickups.... not all of them had dimarzios or seymour duncans! Looks like it has a similar bridge to a p38 to me also maybe they built this from leftover older people series parts
