Way down at the bottom there is a choice of mobile/classic.  If you click classic, all the info is there. Mobile is not working properly.

As cool as it is,  I'll probably stick with my 50 cent white nylon.  Either product highly recommended.

Glad that someone had decided to try an improve on the plastic bushing..
If I ever break another, I have an extra too, I will look into tom anderson's black bushing..

So I got clued into this thread from the recent tremolo spring thread.  I had no idea someone (Tom Anderson) had created a custom trem arm bushing from nylon material.  This is a fantastic find and solves one of the biggest disappointments with the refined trem assembly.

So this begs the question, who has purchased these replacement custom black nylon bushings?  Have there been any issues with ordering them or using them?   TIA :)

His website is dead now.
It doesn't look dead to me (I'm on it right now).

Since I'm playing (and still loving) my Parkers over Christmas break, I thought I'd offer a couple thoughts on the trem arm bushing issue. My USA made DFs don't have cracked bushings yet (anyone know if they use better plastic than the imports?) but I want to install a different (non-Parker) trem arm, so I'm ordering spacers so I can drill to the proper size. I'd rather not mod the original. I found a nylon bushing in black that I hope will work.

It's a MICRO PLASTICS 13SP202B Round Spacer, Nyl, #10, 1 Inch.  3/8" outside diameter, 0.194" inside, so I'll need to drill it out. But BLACK!  :-)

Zoro tools carries them in 10 packs, available for $7.00 shipped from eBay or Newegg.

These work well. Without the large head, the grub screw needs to be snug to keep it in place, but no biggie. I drilled out a couple to different sizes, so I can now use a couple of thicker and shorter arms that I had lying around. I like these arms better - wish I knew where they came from!

I like shorter arms better too. There's a guy Tim on Ebay who sells high quality short and medium length replacements.  I think he can do hexagonal as well as round for the pre-refined Flys.  I bought four of them and they're great in both my Flys and NiteFlys.  Well priced too.  They have vinyl 'caps' on the end instead of the stockers' foam, but I pull those off anyway.

I had a similar problem with a PDF80 I bought recently - it had a broken bushing.  Inspired by the OP, I did an eBay search and got the same size nylon bushing in Black.  A little outer modification with a Dremmel and I am now good to go!

I just bought a funky 2010 Dragonfly with a broken bushing. ArtistryInTitanium no longer sell their nylon ones. Do we know of any other option which doesn’t require me fumbling with a drill to get the Home Depot spacer to fit? I know I could buy one of the original plastic replacements, but that seems silly. If I go the DIY method, is there a problem with not having the big nobby head which stays on the outside of the trem unit?

Also, I e-mailed the chap who sells the medium & short term arms, and he said he should have some more round ones available soon. Right now, he only has hex in stock.

congrats and welcome!

The Home despot one is relatively low risk, it's like $1 and won't break.  I don't remember if you have to drill it or not.  The set screw should keep it from slipping in and out.

Might be worth it to spring for the titanium ones.

edit: looks like the titanium bushings aren't available anymore either.   :(
