Be pretty crazy looking. As I understand it they laser etch the carbon glass epoxy fretboard so you would have all of the laser etched lines from where the frets previously were, and I think also the laser etching may create a scuffed surface for the glue to better adhere to so there's also that which might mean that you may go through all of the trouble to have the frets eventually fall off.

Not worth it IMO.

Off topic but I've seen am intrigued by microtonal frets that are segmented and adjustable by locking into differing positions along the fretboard.  Really interesting idea, complicated but interesting.
But I have a hard enough time with standard fretting gawd help me if I had microtonal concerns!

Neck tension might not be able to handle. What about taking a newer 7 string and doing that?
