Did someone tell you that your guitar is the first one?  I'm pretty sure it wasn't 0000001.

I have a '94.  I've seen a '93 but I don't know what the serial was.
There's a '93 for sale on reverb with serial 314013BP.  Pretty early number.

Would there be any real difference in the early years?  Is a 93 superior to a 95? Etcetera and so on...

My first Deluxe was a late '93 or early '94.  The paint was much easier to flake than my 98.  I suppose some minor improvements were made over the first few years of production, while still being "unrefined".  But an early model may fetch more just because it is earlier.  I don't think "Vintage" is a word that applies to Parker yet.  Maybe in 10-20 years!

Either way, my '94 hardtail is a priceless jewel for me.  I love that guitar!  Almost as much as my '98 Classic ;)

Not sure what day the first was built, but it would have a serial number of XXX013, XXX being the day of the year.

I have a redwood neck'd 93. I beleive it's one of the last redwoods, serial starts with 252. So the first day of manufacture would be a few months before Sept 9th.

If I recall correctly, John Page said that the first Flys shipped in June of 93. If you find a Fly wish serial ending in "3RP" and starting in the low-mid 100's (May 1st is 121), it is very early. Back then they were only available in black or white, hardtail, and had white nuts instead of the grey/black graphite nuts.

With the white nut.  Mine was shimmed by the dealer because the strings were too low.
