Selector switch
« on: July 31, 2016, 07:23:42 AM »
Sometimes I find it difficult, to move the selector switch, to a different position.
I think the actual switch is too small, in height - the control knobs get in the way..(is it just me?)
My rough fix, was a piece of plastic tubing, which was simply, forced on to the switch, about one inch long.
Has anyone developed a `fix`, not as crude as mine?

I also find that I occasionally accidentally `knock` the controls (only when playing gigs),
sometimes, the volume to zero.   I now tape the vol & tone, in place, leaving the master vol, free...

Have you tried to clean them using some De-oxit spray?

Be very CAREFUL to AVOID letting any De-oxit drops fall onto the finish, or it will likely by PERMANENTLY stained or faded!

There is a selector switch that will fit with a longer toggle, i've replaced mine with it and it works great, makes the whole pickup selection thing much easier.

Can't remember the part number etc. there's a post around here from many years ago where it's mentioned, i think it's this one:

Check the measurements etc, did it a while back and really can't recall, but such a thing does exist!

Good luck
