Fly mojo backplate scan?
« on: December 09, 2016, 07:17:57 PM »
Anyone have a newer fly mojo and willing to do a full size pdf scan of it?  I've been looking for one.  I've seen the thread on the df/Maxxfly back plate scan,  but that won't fit the fly mojo. Thanks in advance

And then what?  Buy a $3500 guitar just to copy the backplate? Thanks...

lol

Actually, I think I can take the image of the back and scale it to create an outline for routing a new plate.

Any progress on the scan of the back plate?
I have guitars, most are beyond my playing level, but I love them all!

I already have a nice scan of a stock pre-refined Deluxe plate ... but nobody here has asked for that.

That helps but it didn't match the refined mojo. Thankful wiguitar got a backplate.

I also have backplate woes. I just got one from wiguitar, but alas, it fits 2012 not 2006 models. 2006 is slightly different. But I can scan it, and if it works pass it on.

You just gotta love these minor changes over the years. I was trying to make my own based off of a scan of my guitar and the back plate of a pre refined Fly. And I could get close finally got one and I was off a few centimeters! But it made a world of difference. I will scan mine too. If you don't want/need yours I could maybe lighten your load:)

Scan the back of your guitars. Use 300 dpi if you can. If you send it to me, I can adjust the files I've been working on to fit. Send a pm, and if you cover the plastic cost (gotta order some more soon), I can make you one soon.

FYI I've been looking at kydex, and there's some cool graphic options if you're so inclined.
