Who makes the pickups for the PDF30 model?
« on: December 10, 2016, 08:03:48 PM »
As to the question above about my Parker PDF30 guitar.

They sound good, in fact, too good for cheapos. As far as I could find out they're not Duncan or Duncan Designed.

I did a setup today when my stuff came in yesterday and while I had the strings off I pulled the pups and got the models.

This is what I found:

Neck = PTP 6005 LP-BLK-F-1P

bridge = PTP 6006 LP-BLK-R-1P

Any one know what they are?

I agree they sound great.

My understanding is that they are Duncan designed specifically for Parker's imported line, so probably made in Asia.  Duncan saves on the branding expenses and manufacturing, usm saves by buying in bulk at lower price.

i guess they are Duncan Designed after all. They're quite well made. I have a set of DiMarzio D'Activators and a set of SD Blackouts I could have replace them with but they're staying in.

That's how good they are.  8)
