...If it's a genuine Hiscox case in good shape that's worth $150-200 on CL all day long.
I'm almost certain it is NOT a Hiscox case. Those have a wider area around the neck and headstock.
Which brings me to my audacious claim of the day:
I HAVE SOLVED THE MYSTERY OF THE MODIFIED UPPER HORN !
The owner of this Deluxe must have trimmed down the horn in order to fit it into a standard Strat-type case. Oh the humanity !
If you look closely at the photo, you'll see that the modified tip of the horn just barely touches the inner case. Also, notice the area trimmed away from the horn would have run into the cavity shaped for a Strat horn.
That's my theory (until dis-proven....at which time I will delete this post and deny having made such audacious claim)
