Fingers Crossed - I'm part of the club
« on: October 08, 2018, 10:10:54 AM »
So fingers crossed that all works out well... I've just landed a Parker Fly Stealth :-D

Am I right in thinking its quite a rare thing? (Not that the rarity matters).
I've wanted a fly for about 20 years and I am delighted to finally have one.

Congrats! I’ve wanted to try one of those for a while; you are correct that they are not common.

Post pictures when it arrives!

My Stealth is my favorite Fly, hands down.

I'd love to pick up a backup some day, but they are pretty rare.

Congrats on a great guitar. If you ever want to sell, let me know. I'd even be willing to discuss a trade for one of my other Flys....

Cool.  Welcome to the exclusive club for those owning mono-species Flys!
If I'm not mistaken, there are 3 varieties:
  Mojo (mahogany)
  Stealth (basswood)
  Virtuoso (Spruce)

I myself am not a member, but I like these guitars.
Congrats!

I love the classification “mono-species Fly”!  :D

I like the terminology....even though it sounds like a social disease. :o

“Oh shat!, my mono-species Fly is flaring up again, guess I gotta go jam!”

I’ve never heard one in person, bet those mono-species sound good.

Congrats, the Stealth may be my favorite Fly of all, I've owned 3.

Where did you find it? I'd love to see some pictures of it.

It arrived today. It's the first USA Parker I have ever played.
I'm just blown away. I love the sound, I love the build, setup is a breeze and it almost plays its self.
Its such a revelation. I am amazed they aren't more common. Mine sounds huge, has the best note separation on a humbucker I have ever heard and the weight!!! I have heavier shoes than this thing

Photos in due course  :D

Welcome to the flock or herd or gang oh wait we’re not a gang we’re a club man!

Even though the PDF’s are extremely light and well made the true USA Parker’s are head and shoulders above the rest.

A revelation is a great way to describe those "first Parker Fly moments".  Its exactly how I felt - great, but ruined for other guitars since it sets a pretty high bar.

Welcome and enjoy it!
