Hanging a fly
« on: February 24, 2019, 09:26:33 AM »
I know this has been discussed a million times, but I am getting desperate. I have a Fly Mojo Flame; I bought a bullwinkle off eBay, but apparently it doesn’t fit my model (tuners are too big). My wife won’t let me hang it sideways, so hanging by the horn is out (long story). Strong swing used to have a hanger, but I can’t find one to buy. I have a room with many guitars hanging where I play and my beloved fly has to sit in its case and gets used a lot less than it should because of this. Any ideas?

Are you saying the bullwinkle was made improperly (or made for something other than a Fly)? A normal bullwinkle will surely fit a normal Fly. Mine does. And here's one you can see in use:

The one I bought is 3D printed off an old bullwinkle. Apparently he’s sold a bunch and it works most of the time, but it most definitely doesn’t fit mine.

Update: I did some strategic sanding and the bullwinkle fits. Hanging nicely.
