I tend to use my VHT CLX combo or VHT CLX head through my Mesa 4x12 cabinet. I also sometime play through my Bogner XTC Classic. There are pics of my Parkers and amps at www.guitarfan.com

Here's a live sound board clip of my Fly thru my VHT CLX combo:

I have playing my Classic through a Peavey Triple X 212 w/Celestion V30s and JJ E34Ls for power and JJs for the preamp. The JJs in the preamp are little less harsh and bright than the stock Sovteks. Since all the Fly models are a little brighter than the average guitar, the balance is real nice. I can't complain one bit with this setup.

I mainly use a 20 watt Koch Studiotone. It´s made in Holland and is pure Class A with EL84´s. The three channels give me everything from creamy voxlike clean to a really smooth, singing distortion. Now, the important thing is that my Parker Fly´s love it! I took my trusty Deluxe and A/B´d the Koch with Fender Blues Junior, Orange AD15 and a Cornford Harlequin. I found that the natural warmth of the Koch really made the Deluxe shine. Needless to say it sounds great with my Mojo too!

Mesa/Boogie Stiletto with an Orange 4x12 cabinet, and running a Boss GT-6 through the loops via the 4 cable method.

Gets me every sound I need!

Tom,
What's your impression of the Stiletto? I own a Road King Head and have heard very mixed reviews about the Stiletto. I am assuming very Marshall like in nature or??? I have been curious since they debuted. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I've been really happy with the Line6 gear I have owned, even if for the simple reason of not having to cart effects and their associated cables and power issues.

Hey Kevin,

The Stiletto is fantastic! Fairly Marshall-esque in nature, but the sound is much more open and boutique sounding.

I used to have a DSL50, but my gripe about that was the single EQ for both channels. And moving up to a TSL meant switching from a series effects loop to a parallel.. making my GT-6 through the loop scheme not work so good.

So with the Stiletto, I get everything I need.. plus improved tone and features. The EL34s sound awesome even stock. I've tried it before with a Soldano cab, and I wasn't too enthusiastic about that.. so people's mixed opinions are probably influenced by how they're hooking the Stiletto up.
But the Orange w/V30s really makes the amp shine IMO.

Try one out! [8D]

Is anyone using an acoustic ampfeed purely for the Piezo sound?

Having tried a few - I am still struggling to find an amp which does justice to the Piezos on a Fly - or even the RMC Piezos on my Brian Moore and Godin! Piezos through an atypical tube or transistor amp voiced for mag pickups sound pretty awful to my tender ears
Majik Blue 02 Fly Deluxe, Blue/green-burst 09 Fly Deluxe , Natural Mahogany 05 Fly Mojo, Vigier Shawn Lane, Caparison Horus,  Schecter C7 Hellraiser ,   Brian Moore i9.13 ,Godin ACS-SA
Bogner XTC Classic ,Fishman Performer amps
,Fishman Aura Blender,

I use a Ganesha from Maven Peal wonderful amp that sounds like a Plexi but at any volume since the wattage is actually adjustable from 1 to 100. I like the Piezo pickups through my 66 Vibrolux. The piezo sounds great to me if you just cut the treble with the tone knob. I really like to blend both when playing rhythm stuff.
