Parker Sevice Help
« on: March 17, 2006, 05:40:10 PM »
I am totally new here and don't know if this has been addressed, if so I did not find it looking through the bass forum.
I recently purchased a Parker Mojo bass from M123 and when it arrived it had a bad string buzz on open E, with truss adjust the buzz moved itself up the neck. I took it in to a local very respected Luthier who said he could not work on it due to the nature of construction. I called customer service and they gave me a return auth # and told me 5 weeks probable turn around. I packaged it and sent it ups. (UPS store charged me a small fortune) It arrived a week ago Weds. Took 1 week to get there so I am at 2 weeks without my new guitar. I called on Monday to see if it had arrived OK and get an idea of what was wrong and they told me it hadnt been touched yet. Stacy told me it would be looked at Wed and they would E-mail me Thurs. Well today is Friday and no word so I called and was told they would look at it next week and they were looking at 3 to 5 months for any repairs. 3 to 5 months???? you gotta be kidding me. Has any one had any service and hopefully had good results. I am seriously regretting my purchase. I have a Kubicki Xfactor and have played it for 18 years and the one time it went to the shop, Phillip Kubicki called me to tell me what was going on and I had it back in a week, so this is really frustrating.
Thanks for any words of encouragement I really want to be a happy Mojo player,
Brian

He must have meant 3-5 weeks.  I'll talk to him about it - no worries.  We'll turn it around quick.

Seriously, Brian- they WILL take good care of you. I had a couple of problems with a Parker I bought, and as soon as John P got on the case, it was resolved. This man's word is golden. Best of luck, and don't lose confidence or hope; you've signed on with the very  best there is.
