tiny crack in headstock (tears)
« on: April 19, 2005, 11:04:11 AM »
After playing two different PM20's Bubingas for about 2 hours, both excellent in very slightly different tonal areas, (which could have been from setup or pickup height),  the one I finally bought, and brung home, actually had a little crack in the headstock (I was crying).  I returned it the next day for the other one.  Anyone else run into something like this?

When my PM-20 was purchased, it was shipped from another music store still in the box. When they took it out, the nut slot on the G string was so deep, the string didnt even sound an actual note. They filled the nut in with a putty, and also tamed the sharpness of the frets on the neck (it was lethal!)and I'm starting to think this was a kind of stupid idea and I should have just ordered a new guitar.. A new PM-20 that is! hehe.. they had a sunburst one as well on the floor that played flawlessly out of the box. Meh!
