[?]I am about a week from purchasing a P-36 - basically sight unseen..... Ive played the custom fly and I was looking for an alternative to my stock tele.... so Im sticking my neck out here...

no one carries them in Philadelphia.. so I will continue my prayers and wait for it to arrive.

Im surprized there isnt more on the internet about them ( User Reviews, etc. )

Im excited ( but nervous ) - Could anyone share anything they have to say about them?[?]

Hey, don't get the P36..  The newer model is the P42, comes in metallic black or metallic silver..  You can get it at Samash.com for $489.  You can't beat the price and the guitar is awesome.. Got it last week and everybody LOVES it.  You get a lot of guitar for the money...  Chris

The P-36 is also one of the new ones and has the piezo system plus the Tele control and pu config.

I'm not disagreeing with you about the P36, if you like the blonde guitar..
I'm just saying that the P42 is new for 2005..

I think the P36 has been out a couple years..

The P42 also has duel humbuckers, which is nice... Chris

Hello,I am new to the forum.I purchased a p-36 about two weeks ago,and I must say it is great.I walked into samash here in las vegsa,as I finally had some hard earned bucks[I,m 54yrs old].After looking at all the same old fenders gibsons etc,I looked up and saw it.I had been perusing some websites and always wanted a parker, but could never afford one.Anyway I digress. It kinda of "spoke' to me as it stood out from everything else. The pics do not do it justice. It is simply stunning. The interesting thing is that the neck is kind of"smooth sanded"like naked without varnish. The sound ? great!I mean if you are looking for martin from the piezeos ,no,but with just a little tweaking they sound great.I run myine stereo, the piezeos thru a peavey escort pa system and the magneticsthru a chorus crsate 4/12,s..I only have two caveats, one ,no stereo cord, and two since this axe has so many amazing sounds, but there is no manual. They give you a manual about the fishman pickups, but none about what does what. But i guess that,s just part of the fun!Iam partial to guitars with tremelo bars, but this thing just rocks! So much soI forgot it was supposed to sound like a tele! buy it you will not be disappointed.Hope this helps. One final thing ,it must be selling because intwo weks the price online at samash went upabout 60 bucks!!!

Hey ya Teckno...

The finish on the neck is called "satin". I love it too. No sticky issues from varnish! Wonderful instrument!

Blessings,

Thank you, I for the life of me could not figure it out! I thought the store/factory had made a mistake, because it was so dry..I did put some pure lemon guitar oil on and it,s fantastic -Reggie
