TOTALLY AWESOME Internet Radio Site
« on: October 18, 2006, 05:56:42 PM »
Hey all!  I just found the greatest internet radio site in the world today.  Go to www.pandora.com and check it out!  All you have to do is type in the name of your favorite guitarist or song, and you're off!  I've been listening all afternoon, no commercials yet, and it's free!  Wow!

D'oh!

They only let you have 5 tunes, then you have to register. This is free, but ONLY FOR U.S. RESIDENTS [:(!]

Pity, because it's really very very cool...[:(]

Gotta say at first I thought this was a spam posting.  Did a little "new member" research and the Dew Dude seemed legit.  The Rusty chimes in, so I go to try this out and have spent the last twenty minutes listening to a quite enjoyable mix based on "Zappa".  Very cool.  I think these guys are on to something.

With all apologies to those outside of the USA, pandora.com is waaay cool. They've pointed me in the direction of artists I had never and probably would never have heard of. Great service. Great idea. Love em.

I wa thinking of cheating by typing in a US zip code, but I don't know what they look like - can anyone suggest an imaginary one that would seem authentic?

14610 would be a US zip code - mine in fact! Drop in! It might not be that simple, though. It may look at where your ISP is, and all that sort of stuff.
