MidiFly & midi foot controlling
« on: January 29, 2007, 08:03:45 PM »
Hello,

I am a guitar player from Greece and I own a Parker MidiFly guitar.I bought an Oberheim Matrix-1000 analog sound module recently and I would also like to buy a midi foot controller(such as the TC Electronic G-Minor) to change between patches with ease.Does anyone know which is the correct way to connect these devices together? What I would personally do,is the following:

-from MidiFly MIDI OUT to junction box GUITAR
-from junction box SYNTH to G-Minor MIDI IN
-from G-Minor MIDI OUT to Matrix-1000 MIDI IN
-from Matrix-1000 AUDIO OUT to amp

Another way to connect things is also this one:

-from MidiFly MIDI OUT to junction box GUITAR
-from junction box SYNTH to Matrix-1000 MIDI IN
-from Matrix-1000 AUDIO OUT to amp
-from Matrix-1000 MIDI THRU to G-Minor MIDI IN
-from G-Minor MIDI OUT to MidiFly MIDI IN

The first one makes more sense to me,while the second is taken from the last page of the MidiFly manual(if you replace the computer sound card with the midi foot controller).I'm not a MIDI expert,so,if there is any MidiFly user who could help me with this issue,I'd be grateful.
