John,

The girls look great with their gold accessories etc.
Do you have a favourite, and if so what are the main reasons for your choice?

It would always be one of the Fly's, but which one depends on mood.  The Mojo can be a monster and the Gen 1 Classic very open and lighter with the Gen 2 Classic somewhere in the middle. I do find myself getting out the Gen 2 Classic a lot, though.  The Standard is coming to break up the Mahogany monopoly.. [:D]

My goodness you're getting quite a collection there.

I think I've nearly got my Classic setup finished; it's taken some time, but I think a virtually flat neck (almost 0 relief)is giving me a good result. The action set a bit lower than the factory standard, about 060 on the bass side and 040ish on No 1. This seems fine with no buzz problems, apart from my clumsy fingers that is...

The Gen 2's are sounding sweeter now, after several height adjustments, and I think I've found a good balance with the piezos. Think I favour the neck pup at the moment, with and without peizo mix.

Definitely need to sharpen up my playing technique now, as the Fly is much less forgiving than the old muddy Strats were. I'm very much aware that I used to get away with some pretty sloppy fingerwork. [:I] The Fly's fantastic sustain is catching me out and also I'm making too much noise moving over the strings. So I've got lots of work to do...

Do you find yourself not using the middle position of the pickup selector toggle?  If so, you might like to get rid of the coil tap.  It's an easy mod described here:

http://forums.parkerguitars.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4166

I find that it gives me a very usable tone.

John,

I've tried various settings for the middle position: mixed, not mixed and amp adjustments. It probably sounds best using the Roland Chorus, but in the end I don't like it that much.

I will have a go at the mod you suggest when I have cleared some of my long list of pending jobs [:I] (need to earn some brownie points!).

I like the gold control knobs on your Mojo, which make are they?

My NiteFly M has the same Duncans as a Mojo.  Rolly put the rings on when he did the mod.

Hey John,

What does the back of the standard look like? Is the cover the same as a hardtail, or is it even smaller?
