Settings for Different Tones?

I've just gotten my new parker fly bass. I admit it, it's brand new to me. Do you guys have any favorite settings for different styles of music? I've found some good ones, any favorites..?

Welcome to the Parker forum. [:D]

I don't play bass so I can't help you but I noticed the new post in the bass area so wanted to welcome you anyway. Hopefully as more of the basses get sold the new owners will show up. [^]

I play bass but I don't own a fly (I have a spector). Since the bass has stainless steel frets my guess is you might want to turn up the bass a little bit so you dont here the clang noise of the strings against the steel. One of my favorite settings is alot of bass, but not too much that it muffles the sound. IT should sound buttery smooth as you slide up the neck, and the high g string should sound bassy too, yet clear [:D]

When I am recording with my Fly 5's, I turn the magnetic volume all the way up, then I set the concentric tone knobs directly in the middle (sort of "flat", without a center detent), and then I add just a touch of piezo volume with its EQ set at the center detent.  The overall volume sits in the middle.  :)
