I got a question on the P36 I am selling that I cannot find a specific answer for...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3AAAQ%3AUS%3A1&viewitem=&item=120104907627&rd=1

Check the pic of the back of the headstock. Above the serial number is an 'X' thru what looks like a garbage can... what does this mean? Perhaps Parker does not want me to throw it out? [;)]

WOW... have I stumped the masses... so many have read my post and no answer as of yet.

Perhaps someone can look at the back of their headstock and tell me if they have the same symbol on their's?

Instructions for Disposal of Waste Equipment by Users in Private Household

This symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product must not be disposed of with your other household waste. Instead, it is your responsibility to dispose of your waste equipment by handing it over to a designated collection point for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment. The separate collection and recycling of your waste equipment at the time of disposal will help to conserve natural resources and ensure that it is recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment. For more information about where you can drop off your waste equipment for recycling, please contact your local city office, your household waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product.

That's right. So Mike, if you're selling it in the States, it does not mean anything. It's a good idea though... maybe something the US should adopt.

In short, when you get ready to throw your Parker away, notify ME and I'll send a properly labeled recycling box for you to place it in, then deliver to your local post office....
