Here's one more variation that an individual asked me to build for them - a 1flyBOB with a Piezo Mute switch. The LED indicates when the piezo is being muted. Cool, huh? [8D]

That would work cool with LooseChange's switch mod.

Hi,
beautiful work !!
just a question : is there a switch for the battery or a special jack socket with a contact "on" when you have the jack in ?

Gee, thanks. [8D]

No, you can't use that input jack power switching scenario with these boxes. You have to use an actual power switch on them...

Thanks,
switchcraft makes sockets jacks stereo with a contact when the jack male is in. but i can't find it / e commerce.

So if someone can help me . it could be a fine solution for a pedal effect stereo..!

Thanks

I am aware of that type of jack, but all the ones I have seen do not grab the cord as well as the standard Switchcraft stereo jacks do. I don't like those plastic barrel jacks much - the cord can get pulled out of them very easily. Not something you want to have happen in the middle of a gig...

Just a thought, You could use one of the output jacks as a power switch utilizing a Switchcraft stereo jack.

Maybe I'm missing something.

You have to bend down to plug in a cable, right?  So what's the issue with having a power switch?

The only thing I can think of that Paul could add that would be a useful feature would be to have an input for an external power supply.  (Then it wouldn't matter HOW it was turned on, because it would be left on all the time. [:p])  And I kind of suspect that if you wanted that, he could (and would) build it.  [;)]  (Of course then you've got the issue of which connector type to use.)

If I ever decide to go this route, I'm definitely getting in touch with Paul!  [;)][8D]  (The stereo cable works fine for me for now.)

Yeah, a power jack could be added. I would use the same thing as what is industry standard on pedals these days.
