Who are you calling old??!! [:D]
I'm the youngest member of the band...
Our stuff is pretty high-energy, actually (I don't like slow music...[:)])

Hey Rusty, but you're a big dude. I wouldn't want to cop a right hand off you. Can I belatedly thank you for recommending the Emu 0404 to me, although I still haven't got round to checking out cyberjamming it's been revolutionary as a system sound card (worth twice the price just for that let alone all the other goodies).
It's of interest to me that you live in France as I'm technically half french (my mother's Corsican) and have spent a lot of time out there. It sometimes seems in England that everbody wants to have a go at the French, but frankly I think they're more civilised than us bingey Brits, anyway all the best.
The only thing that exists is this moment now.

I'm totally non-violent, honest [:D]
I just re-installed my 0404 and patchmix software after changing PCs round with the wife - now I'm raring to go and do some more recording [:)]. I agree that for 99 euros or something it's a terrific card, and the software bundle (of which I only use Cubase LE and Proteus XLE) is killer. I'm utterly happy with them - that Proteus is an incredible VST synth...
I'm 100% English, but I've lived here over half my life [8D]. I do get annoyed with the way each country's media (or bloke in the pub) so often seem to feel that the Hundred Years War is still going on [:D]

Cheers [:)]

Well, I admit I'm lucky from the material point of view. We belong to an association that runs a 400 sq ft rehearsal room with PA, effects, fridge, etc. We get Wednesday and Thursday evenings (not that we usually use them both). We pay under 70 euros (around $90) per month, which is pretty good for the service we get.

In terms of the people, it's more problematic, of course. I have a great understanding with the drummer, but the bass player, a charming bloke whom I've known for years and who plays in the rock-blues covers band with me as well, just doesn't have the technical skills we'd like for this more personal trio project. Next stop = drama, probably... :(

Then you need to find gigs, of course... [:D]
