Suggestion for the custom shop
« on: June 10, 2005, 07:07:15 PM »
I just made a point in the tech talk section that I would like to elaborate upon here. First off, let me say that I love my Fly Deluxe more than any instrument that I've ever owned. I consider myself to be an expressive and precise player and this design is perfect for me. In fact, I don't think I could go back to anything else. However I've recently acquired a Roland VG88 as well as a GR20 and since Parker doesn't offer a 13-pin option, I'm going to drop a healthy chunk of cheese to have a professional modification done. I think that most of us who are drawn to Ken Parker's design really appreciate precision and versatility in an instrument, and I don't think that it would be outside the scope of his clientel to offer such a modification in the custom shop. Plus he would rake in all the extra cheese that all of these independent modifiers are making. Hope you're reading this Ken!

Thanks for the reply John. Can you give a little more info about this guitar? What kind of pickups will it have? Will this be a different guitar than the Adrian Belew signature?

It'd be cool to see a matching headstock maybe..or some other weird aesthetic options..I  honestly can't wait to try out these new roland ready parkers.
