It was basically a hardtail Fly Classic with gold hardware set up for heavier guage strings.  It came in transparent cherry and it is a gorgeous guitar.  It has no relation at all to the present Parker Jazz guitars.

A brief update on the Parker Fly Jazz model:  It was made for about one year, in 1993; the body and neck are made of mahogany instead of basswood; and it has gold hardware and mini-Schaller tuners with ebony buttons.  It is a hard tail (no tremolo), and has the same pickups as the other electrics from that period including the piezo.  Incredibly easy to play , very expressive, and finished in a very nice transparent  cherry red.  I have owned mine since new in 1993, and it is for sale.

Then why is it not mentioned in the 1993 catalog, or the 2000 catalog, but is listed in the 2001 catalog?

The description in the 2001 catalog says mahogany body and basswood neck.

I find it really hard to believe that the Jazz was available for 8 years or more. Some sort of explanation is in order.
