John!

You are really a wonderful artist.  Do you get paid to do this?  Have you ever thought about making digital prints of your work and selling them?  We should talk.  There is a whole technology that allows an artist to make a small number of very high quality prints on an assortment of substrates, i.e. fine art paper, canvas, etc.

That is flipping amazing.  I would gladly have a painting of that quality on my wall.  You are a very talented man.

Cool man. Sometimes I wish I would have pursued that end of art more. I guess it's never too late, huh? [8D]

John,

Wow! Great stuff. Colored pencils or is that pastel? Excellent eye. Excellent technique. More than excellent art!

It looks like colored pencil to me, but it also looks a bit like pastels. OK, what is it? [;)]

Wow John. That is way way cool. You really have a gift.

I should say many gifts. Now you can do your own Album covers.

Remeber Cat Stevens artwork to go alomg with his songs? That would be cool too. [8D]

Thanks a lot guys, you've been very kind indeed. The medium?, it's acrylic paint which I like, but it's hard to get a decent white out of it.
I've been going to a weekly portrait class this last year and really enjoying it. My aim is to improve my brush technique to the point where I can get those lovely poetic strokes that I see in those I admire. If things go really well maybe I can become a professional portraitist. But I'm not that worried about the money angle, I just like doing it.
Once again thanks so much for the kind words it means a lot to me (my art teacher does nothing but tell me off).
The only thing that exists is this moment now.

Wow, you score points for making acrylic paints look like it's something else! [8D]
