Between the Buried and Me

Someone showed me this band, i thought it was going to be another talentless hardcore band that made me want to stick forks in my ears. I was wrong. The vocals bother me, but the guitarist really knows what hes doing. You can hear the jazz and classical influence. In one song He even breaks into some odd jazz chords..with a nice clean solo. It's about as technical as a band can get without losing the interest of non musicians. http://www.purevolume.com/betweentheburiedandme The first song has some interesting arpeggio runs in the intro, second song has some nice clean parts at about 2:00. It's always nice to see a band who can bring a little talent into the mainstream.

Great band.  I have liked them for about a year.  I am finding a ton of bands like this that are all talent, I just sometimes need get used to the vocals.

The name of the band is from a counting crows's lyric.
