Breaking strings
« Reply #30 on: September 05, 2006, 10:20:59 AM »
FWIW -I have been using some 1mm thick (light) style B and Tri Tip (both with speed bevel) "New Tortis" picks from Red Bear Trading Co., they're at , very good picks, also pricey at about $20USD apiece, but boy do they play good! The flatpickers apparently love them. They definitely have helped my technique (and I can use as much help as I can get!). Also, the cultured tortoise shell has the quality that while you're playing and it warms up it sort of softens a little and molds to your fingers, but when you're done and they cool off it goes back to being flat. Control is great, attack is superb, and I haven't dropped any (heaven forbid!!) even while doing a shredfrenzy. Maybe someone else will benefit from this info...
