Steve Vai Master Class 2007

Here's great one hour master class from one of the most humble down to earth guys you ever want to know. It is not advanced techniques and most of it you may have heard in one form or another before. Still Vai makes all the info and his presentation worth listening to for me.

Start with part one at the bottom right.

You can't argue with any of that.
The only thing that exists is this moment now.

I watched all those videos. It was very interesting to hear how he approaches playing the guitar. [8D]

if it has a guy with blond hair asking what is the sh***iest guitar vai owns, that'll be Stu, our local shredder

I like all that technical, heady stuff that he gets into. I think in that same vein, too.

I did a little guitar practice the way Steve says to do it. I like his approach. Take a few notes and play them for some time. They evolve.

I've done that for a long time (meaning for many years). I just don't spend two hours on it, it's more like 15-30 minutes. [;)]

EDIT: OK, come to think of it, sometimes it's up to an hour at a time. [:I]

Guitar players do lose track of time but not timing. Maybe Albert e=mc2 could explain.
