I thought it about time I highlighted my plexiglass Stratalike. I'd been curious for some time as to what one would sound like since seeing Nile rodgers using one way back. So anyway the first one I saw I tried and took it straight home.
It is unbelievably heavy (over 12lbs) has a massive neck and will only take a high action, has cheep parts and I absolutely love it. It's made by AXL, but has EMG pups and the sound is awesome. The sustain is at least as good as a Les Paul and the sound is fatter than a real Strat, but still sounds very Strat like. Best of all it only cost 150 quid!
Anyway here's a little blues I did on it at the beginning of the year.

Not bad for 150 quids, not bad at all... as for your playing, you're BAD! (meaning you're GOOD... peace, man)

And if you hold it up to the sunlight, you can use it to burn Ants![:D]

Be careful playing that thing outside in the daylight. You could unintentionally do laser surgery on your abdoman. [:D] [:D]

Cool plexiaxe and Awesome playing Yo.[8D]

Thanks very much for your comments, much appreciated. To be honest I don't think I left enough gaps in that piece. Gaps really make lead playing I think. One of the best bits of advice I've encountered said to play the guitar like a sax player, they have to stop to take a breath every so often.

From feather wood to heavy acrylic, you're covering the bases, Ma Yoyo.

12 pounds? Do you sail, or go boat fishing? Take the strato and give it a taste of the abyssal playin. It should snag on a reef, yo mama.

Molto legato signorino.

Keepin' it real...Parker!

That's really cool, yoyo, I dig it.

+1 on the breathing/sax idea...phrasing on guitar can get weird because you don't have to breath to play it.

With a guitar like that don't forget to wear underwear on stage! Thanks for sharing.
