Any News On the P series Bass You want to share?

I am ready to order a P series bass. I can't afford to have USA Parker bass in the house for guests but I could justify a P series. I am sure you would give us a heads up when we can get our dealers to order one. [^]

Wow, I never even knew they were coming out with a P Series bass. I assumed they would eventually tho, that's cool. Sorry I have no info for you about it but hopefully people post something, I'm interested in them too.

Absolutely we will keep you posted.  The Korean factory currently has our specs and is building some prototypes.  The earliest we would release it is January, 2006.
We had some protos this time last year, but they didn't pass muster.

You can get them from www.letusa.es if you don't mind paying shipping from Spain! Apparently they're only selling where the market is already ripe.

Those look fine better then fine. I am glad I bought an American Fly bass I would have sooner or later. I am curious about the body material because someone mentioned it wasn't wood. Which I am not adverse to but I think it is just going to add to the confusion about the rest of the line plus there is an anti plastic bias. But bass players seem to have a more open mind then guitar players generally so it could be a big hit. If it is strong light weight and sounds good it very well may be too good to ignore. [^]

I think the P series bass looks a little weird. I dont like the colors or the line thing that seperates the knobs.

Definately a modern "different" design. Some like, some don't, sound familiar :) I like it a lot, but I'm a big fan of modern design but also lean back to Bauhaus some too. I like the line especially on the all black one. If I remember, its not just a line, but an impression/ridge? Anyone else on this? I've been really interested in bass lately, so I looking forward to seeing/playing one to check it out. I like being different too, it's not easy being green, but it's fun.

The line is actually a scultped away portion of the face of the guitar. And I think it's quite nice.

There's a section under basses on the Parker page now with lovely photos.

Here's one:

From purely a design perspective the tuner buttons don't match the rest of the bass. they should be more square and not round or oval shaped. Not a big deal for sure just looks like mickey mouse ears. Or some kind of Mondrian mobile sculpture. [;)]

Only a 1 lb heavier then a Fly bass thats not bad. And since the whole body is cast in a mold they should be pretty consistent. I have seen some decent looking colored Urethane they could make an unpainted version with the color in the Urethane body itself. That could save a lot of money and make a great price leader and be very punk.[^]

I wonder if Parker is trying to differentiate Urethan from Urethane? The proper spelling is with the "e" on the end but Parker leaves that off? [?]

Too bad it doesn't have piezo's, that would be good on a bass.

Im all for modern design, but I like more sunburst type paintjobs. The paint on the P-Bass looks a little like plastic.
