That's part of the reason why I have two Parker Fly 5s.  I like to add just a LITTLE bit of piezo into my mix, so that I can capture body knocking, noises, etc. "CHARACTER".  ;)

Too bad it doesn't have piezo's, that would be good on a bass.

Or a 6 string model!!  I now have to sell some older basses that are setting in my closet so that I can buy another 6 (or maybe an 8 string) bass!  ;)

I think the Sperzel tuners are a perfect aesthetic and technical fit for any of the Parker basses/guitars.

Somewhat off topic, but what's up lately with manufacturers doing all these funky burst colors?  Greyburst, silverburst, freakin' Gecko-burst on Gibsons?

I have a feeling that 10-20 years from now there is going to be a bunch of very "dated looking colors" on the used market! ;)

I saw one of Cort's "Curbow" basses that's made from something that sounds an awful lot like Urethan. They call it "Luthite." Ibanez is using it too in some of their basses... maybe the "soundgear" series? How similar is the new P-Bass body material to that stuff? It'd be cool to at least get a feel for the material before I plunk doon the change.

For all our Canadian friends, the P-Basses are now on eBay for $839 USD. All three of them! They look good. I don't know anything about the dealer but, he has a high feedback rating. Check em out, eh!
