With the range I saw I think I would have to agree with #2, no extra slots needed. Unless you use really light or really heavy strings or use an alternate tuning that requires a lot of forward or backward adjustment of the saddle. Still nice to have just in case.

All Done!

I have no scale so I don't know the exact weight. Quite light though and I would guess 3-3.5 lbs.

Sure is a fun one! Here is the rig:

Fly -> 8-pin RMC cable -> RMC poly-drive 2 preamp -> Roland 13-pin cable -> Roland VG-99 modeller (with foot controller) -> 1/4 cable mono out -> Atomic Reactor 112-50 tube amp (2x6L6 with 12ax7 phase inverter) -> my ears :-).

And me having fun in my messy basement:

I also am curious if you have ever tried the axon rackmount midi?

Woods: Basswood/Poplar (it is a "deluxe")

It plays amazing thru the VG-99. I am using it for guitar stuff not synth. It doesn't have any problems with sounding and feeling like a guitar/amp. Especially through the Atomic 112-50 tube amp. Lots of dynamics and lots of fun. I am VERY happy with how it turned out and think the Fly is a perfect match with the RMC pickups and the VG-99.

The VG-99 has a GR-300 synth inside but I am not much into those sounds myself except for an occasional pad behind some guitar tones or the cool  blues harmonica patch!

Lee,

The RMC pickups are the gold piezo saddles that you see under each string in the pictures. While most piezo pickups take the signal from all 6 and put them together for one signal, the RMC system keeps them separate. This way the 6 individual signals can be used for midi/synth/Roland modelling and alternate tunings.

They are also great sounding acoustic pickups as well!

Wow dayn,,
so that way we can set many configuration,,
we will have many sounds to put on in one guitar,,
crazy,,
it looks like i've been lost this whole time, i didn't know there's such a pickup like that..

so dayn,,can we order that pickup to be installed to our custom parker? or do we have to make it by ourself?
and one thing,,
do u replace the piezo or just simply combine the RMC with the piezo?so u have one channel for the piezo and one channel for the RMC, and then U seperate the RMC again into many channel?is it goes like that,,?

Well dayn,,thank u very much for this info,,
Ooo,,yeah if it's okay, can i ask other thing about parker?
cause i don't have any parker, so when i have enough money to buy one, i can buy the right parker,,

oo,,for your info dayn, if u look at parker site, there is one artist that got parker endorsement and he is the only one from indonesia,,his name is Dewa Budjana,,that man is one of a hell guitarist,,he use 7 channel just for his guitar alone,,he combaine the piezo, the roland synth and many things,,probably it will give u an add up to ur setting,,u can also check his website dayn at www.dewabudjana.com, there, u can check his gear,,

thanx again dayn

Liandro, I'm curious to see Dewa Budjana's site. But the link you provided does not work! I'll do a search, but it would be helpful if you had the right link. It's great to see someone like yourself with such interest and excitement. Goodluck on your pursuit! [:D]
