Can someone help me ID this Parker Hornet guitar?
« on: February 07, 2008, 09:33:46 PM »
It says PArker Hornet on the headstock, says Made in Korea on the back.  I am trying to figure out if there is a model  name for it that is more specific than Hornet, or where I can find a page with info about it?

I just picked it up and thought it played awesome.  It's definitely a cool guitar, even if Korean made.

Thanks for the help everyone!

I have to admit I have never seen anything like that. That appears to have nearly all the sculpting of a Fly and a set or through neck I didn't know any double cut imports had that. If I had to guess I would say you bought one of those prototypes that never made it to production. A while back Parker was selling these one offs to a couple dealers who sold them on eBay.

I may be completely full of it but I have never seen one of those before.[B)]

I noticed you're selling this on Craig's List.  I was going to ask you about it, because I thought Hornets only had one cutaway.  I'll admit right here that I'm still a bit of a newbie, and don't even own a Parker (yet), so I probably don't know what I'm talking about.  Beautiful, though!

Cheers!

Larry

That's a pretty cool guitar. I like it! [8D]

But it doesn't have the Fly fretboard. [:(]

yeah, I have had it for a while, but hadnt gotten around to posting pics of it.  I decided that although I love it, I shouyld really be saving cash for bigger ventures (a house, etc)

IF its as special as people say, Im thinking of keeping it.  who knows.

Every import prototype will say "hornet." That's how we classify them, so Mr. Slugworth won't try to steal the secret recipe. What's the serial number? I'll tell you where it came from. Now if we could just do something about the Noid.
