2 Southern Nitefly Songs
« on: March 27, 2008, 06:56:05 AM »
Hi! Here`s 2 songs from my new album where i`ve used the Southern Nitefly. It`s the right channel guitar on both tracks and the solo on "She`s The One For Me". The other guitars are a Gibson Les Paul Custom (Spiral) and a Fender Eric Johnson Strat (She`s The One For Me). The amp is a Diezel Herbert and a Bogner 2x12 Cab.

The music is some kind of alternative rock i guess...

Very nice!  Kind of reminds me of The Cars.

I thought The Cars were among the best of the New Wave bands of the 70's/80's.  Elliot Easton is a fabulous guitar player.

Yeah, really good especially She's The One. Very tight rhythmic guitar work, good vocals and well recorded.
The only thing that exists is this moment now.

Count me in, too, I like the tunes as well. They do have a bit of "The Cars" feel to them. Cool solo on "Spiral", too. "She's The One For Me" has a great groove and guitar tune to it.

Best of luck to ya with the album! [8D]

Besides the great playing and cool tunes, I like the fact that there is real stereo separation of parts in the songs.

Nice work! Being compared to Elliot Easton (The Cars) is no small complement. He's been one of my faves since '78 when their first album came out. He sometimes makes great use of the pedal steel, double stop bends, like the second tune.

Really like the tunes... Nice playing! [^]

Hello! Been out of town for a couple of days. Thank you for all your comments. I`m overwhelmed! Davecan: Glad you noticed! The idea of letting the guitars have a separate speaker has been one of my guidelines when i arranged this music.
And Alex: Lou Reed is one of my favourite singers so you`re on the spot.
