Very nice guitar!
I recently bought a Fly Supreme with a sunburst finish. I've posted a few pictures here: http://www.flying-woodruff.com/parker/

Are you sure they made only 10 per year of that finsh? I saw three Parker Supreme Sunbursts (one of which I bought) on ebay within one month.
Your finsh seems to be a bit brighter (more yellow) than mine. Or is it from the flash?

It's my first parker and I am very happy with it and still very exited!

I've also got a Supreme Sunburst. I love the color. I'm living in Hong Kong but ordered mine from U.S.A. I've had mine for almost 4 years now. From then on, I haven't seen anyone else here in Hong Kong with that color.

My only complaint is that my high "E" string sounds a bit dead and the tremolo lock switch in the back always gets switched up when I want it down.

But whereever I go, I never fail to get the attention of other guitarists!!

Put a piece of black tape over the tremolo selector switch that will keep it down. [;)]

What have you tried to do to cure the high E string problem? [^]

What a coincidence! I got my Supreme Sunburst from Hong Kong. The guy who sold it to me had hardly ever played it (and as he said in one email, it still smelled new). About half a year ago he sold his other Supreme Sunburst.

So there was a time when 3 Supreme Sunbursts were in Hong Kong.

Hi Flyingandi and 908ssp,
So sorry for the late reply. I've been so busy at work and with other things.

Hi 908ssp. Regarding the switch always getting switched to up mode, I have put tape over it in the past. But the tape would always eventually peel back and some of the adhesive would get stuck on my shirt. I think I must be using the wrong tape. I'm using duct tape. What are you using.

Regarding my dead high "E", I have talked to the tech at Parker and he told me that I would have to get a new bridge. Hmmm sounds kinda expensive.

Hey FlyingAndi. That's great that you bought your Supreme Sunburst here in Hong Kong. Are you still here. I've never seen a Sunburst in any of the music stores here.

No. I've never been to Hong Kong. I got the guitar on ebay and the seller sent it to me.

Hey HKFlyer
I hate getting answers like that tech gave you. What does that mean? I want to know what is wrong it isn't enough to assume that getting a new bridge will fix it. And if it doesn't will he buy the bridge back from you? [:(!]

I had an idea try loosening the saddle clamp screw. It won't move in the short term as the string is holding it down. It might give us some valuable info as to your trouble. I have a theory that maybe just maybe the saddle is actually bent and it is not transmitting the string vibration into the bridge properly. If it is bent it would probably be bent up under the string which might lessen the sustain of the high E string. if you loosen it the saddle should drop back down to the bridge and the sustain might if my guess is correct come back. If this works replacing the saddle and not over tightening the saddle clamp screws is the fix. It will be a valuable lesson not to over tighten the clamp screws. [^]

Hello again to all, to the person who asked about the 10 per year.  When I visited the Parker factory (when it was in Mass.)  They had told me that they only were making about 100 supremes a year and only about 10 of them were sunbursts.  Also, mine is a Tobacco burst it's only 2 colors, to my knowledge they only did that on the first few then they switched to a 3 color burst which is more of a darker style sunburst.  Again I cannot be certain about the quantity issue, but it's just what the guys in the factory told me.  Mine was made in 1998 and if you read the thread on the link in my original post you can learn it's history.  I've seen a few from time to time on ebay, but still very rarely, and I have only actually seen 1 other in person which was at Rudy's music in NYC a few years ago.  Enjoy, and again, I'd love to see any customs that are out there.
