I hear all these youtube vids with guys playing over awesome backing tracks. How come I've never been able to find the motherload? I really need something new to play over!

I'm not sure, but I think that all those backing tracks on the Guthrie Govan youtube videos are for sale.  Maybe you could trade your guitar playing for tracks from people in your area.

I bought a bunch of the backing tracks from "Blues Jam Tracks"(the Guthrie ones). I don't like them. They are Midi files done through half decent sequencers but still Midi files. I hear guys playing against much better tracks. I've tried guitarbt.com but they're pretty low budget as far as I can tell. I'll look again though just to see. I remember trying to DL some and got window after window of gibberish.
