Parker Fly bass in production?
« on: July 20, 2008, 08:36:47 PM »
I read in this forum that the Fly bass was temporarly out of production due to manufacturing problems. Is this info correct? I've got two 4-strings (circa 2004: flawless performance and operation from both) and am curious as to what issues have been reported. Feedback please.

Wilmington is partially right. But we put the bass back on the drawing table when several Pre-USM basses we taken back from dealers who had issues with neck twisting and necks loosening inside the body. We also had similar issues with basses built here in '06 and early '07.  Expect this to be rectified at winter NAMM this year.

They weren't talking about the PB basses. They were talking about the original Fly bass made from wood not urethane.

I don't think they ever started making the Fly bass again not the carbon American version in any case.

The PB bass is Korean and if it was outside the warranty period well YSOOL.
