« on: October 06, 2008, 10:59:03 AM »
hi i'm new in this forum ,i hope you can help me. "sorry for my english i'm from mexico"
i have a parker fly classic 1999,I THINK IT HAS THE second generation
("upgraded") DiMarzio Parker Custom pickups the problem is than when i turn on the overdrive channel for solos, the neck pickup do a lot of feedback, i have to turn down the volumen of the guitar, and the mix than i have in floor monitor (keybord, voices, drum, bass, etc) begins to listen in my amp.
what happen with my fly?
is the neck pickup the problem?

This is not the case with the bridge pickup.

WITH MY IBANEZ PRESTIGE WITH DIMARZIO TONEZONE AND BREED I DONT HAVE ANY PROBLEM

I LOVE MY FLY BUT I DON'T NOW WHAT CAN I DO

HAPPENS WHEN THE PIEZO IS OFF.
It is curious, WHEN I TURN ON THE OVERDRIVE CHANNEL FOR SOLOS, THE NECK PICKUP MAKE TO MUCH FEEDBACK. This is not the case with the bridge pickup.

My first guess would be that the some of the wire coils are loose inside the pickup.  If true then you either need to "pot" the coil in wax, or replace the pickup.  Alex can offer replacements

I also had a thought about something to do with the potting on the pickup. It shouldn't be microphonic like that...

Thanks for your answers.
in theory the neck pickup don't have to make any noise and much less enter into my amp what I'm listening to my floor monitor.
so, the best reccomendation is get a new neck pickup and changed it.

Cool! I wonder how that slipped thru the cracks at the factory?
